Smoking is a key factor in the development of wrinkles. Treatments and products (including anti-aging creams) promising to reduce, remove, or prevent age-related wrinkles are big business in many industrialized countries. Despite great demand, most such products and treatments have not been proven to give lasting or major positive effects. Stretching the skin via a face lift will remove some wrinkles.

Stay Young with Facebuilding Stay Young with Facebuilding

Reviews

Surgery or no surgery? That was my question. After I got the program I followed all the instructions given and slowly I could see how my skin tightened everywhere but mostly around my neck, which is where I needed it most. Every day before I go to sleep I have done my routine for a while now, and it's pretty amazing how you feel better, you look younger, and a great glow irradiates from you, I am sold on it. Stay young with Facebuilding really makes a difference.

After my divorce, I decided that I was going to change my habits. I wanted to eat better, exercise and do all those things to make me feel strong and healthy but most of all attractive. I signed up with a local gym and got an instructor. My body changed and the extra pounds of fat melted away. The only problem was that my face was sagging after all the weight loss. My instructor told me about this amazing simple to do exercise program for the face, "Stay Young with Facebuilding". I got myself a copy expecting it to be as hard as working out my stomach but to my surprise it was so easy and calming that it felt like therapy. I am extremely happy with the results.

"I found "Stay Young with Facebuilding" through an ad. I just went to the website to satisfy my curiosity and after reading the descriptions of the each exercise and why it works, I thought I'd give it a try. I purchased a copy and it is just a wonderful, easy, inexpensive and effective way to tighten your facial muscles. I could see results in a short time.

"For the last few years, I have been noticing aging signs and I hated my appearance. Plastic surgery did not appeal to me but I was even considering it. Then a miracle happened, I found "Stay Young with Facebuilding" (They have a preview video on their site). At the beginning, I thought it was worth a try before I decided to get under the knife. After a few days, I could feel a tighter skin all around my face but most of all around my problem neck area." - "I have been doing these exercises for a few weeks now and the difference is undeniable, thank you.

Facial exercises in general are all beneficial, but I found after much research in the exercises and physiology of the muscular composition of the face that "STAY YOUNG WITH FACEBUILDING" is the best method. It has been clearly created to yield benefits and not to artificially make it simple for the purpose of marketing consequently sacrificing results. I recommend that if you are looking for a natural, long term, effective, cost efficient system "STAY YOUNG WITH FACEBUILDING" is the way to go.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, 1.7-Ounces Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, 1.7-Ounces

It is a very effective moisturizer, not greasy, no odor. But as for the firming benefits....that I didn't see.

Olay's Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream is the BEST money I've spent on new skincare product in a long, long time. I've tried all kinds .. cosmetic counter stuff to cheapo stuff, thinking none of it would make much of a difference except for moisturize. I've used Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer for years and years, and, while that's wonderful for daily after shower moisturizing, I finally sighed and faced the inevitable .. I needed something more, since I'm now 51. I've always used moisturizer of sorts for my skin since about age 12, but over the years I guess it's become sensitized to anything other than what it's used to. My best friend suggested I try Neutrogena's Ageless Intesives line, but it smells so heinous, and the serum is an unfamiliar goopy mess when applied. Not Olay Regenerist. I ADORE this cream. It's thick and feels luxurious, and the moment you put it on, it smooths to perfection on your skin. No residue left behind, unlike some preparations that seem to curdle or something after applying it. My skin feels wonderful after applying. The scent is light, not overpowering. I can use this before I go to bed at night and not fear that my linens are stained. I also use this on the back of my hands before bed. It's a little spendier than I would probably spend on an over the counter skincare line but the money spent is WELL worth it. I will be suggesting this to my daughters, as I have every other skincare I've discovered that ACTUALLY does what it says to do.

Here in Venezuela seems that this product is not available. A friend of mine are jealous hahahaha, but i share a litle with her

I have to admit - I didn't expect much from this product. I have rosacea, sensitive skin with blackheads, large pores, oily skin. I was buying a $100 cream just for the rosacea which had marginal results. Within 1 week of using Regenerist, my pores became smaller, blackheads were disappearing and the rosacea calmed down. It doesn't cure rosacea but it cools it off and reduces my redness. It has definitely made my complexion look younger and more important, healthier. Breakouts cleared up too!. I started using it on my neck and decolletage - I had ruddy skin on my upper chest. That calmed down within 48 hours. It's a great product, highly affordable. I apply 2x a day, it's not oily and leaves no oily residue and works very well with my mineral makeup. I can't praise it enough.

I have used many of the Olay products and had settled into the Regenerist ones for most of my skincare (love the night firming cream), but got this in my Christmas stocking and have left the rest of my daytime Regenerist lotions and serums by the wayside! (still using the night firming cream with the Micro Sculpting Cream during the day) The texture of this cream is great - doesn't feel greasy or heavy even though it is thick, and makes my skin feel very smooth, a perfect foundation for makeup. I am in my late 30s and have decent skin, so I am not looking for miracles when it comes to wrinkles, but I do see better texture and a more even tone since I started using this a couple months ago. Not sure if it will hold up to summer heat, but have high hopes. If it does get heavy feeling in summer I will switch back to the regenerist serum or the lotion (the one with the SFP and Self Tanner is great!)

I know. I know. The price tag takes a little getting used to, but it is SO worth it. My skin has never looked better, brighter, or healthier. I was worried about spending this much money on one product, but it lasts quite a long time. I've found it takes less drops to cover your face and neck than the instructions say also. I've started getting compliments on my skin...I'm so glad I went out on a limb and tried this product. I'll never stop using it.

I really like this serum. It makes my face brilliant and reduces the darkness as well. Really powerful. Will continue to use it. You will never regret you buy it although it is not cheap.

Not sure what happened. It took close to three weeks to get my delivery. Was very frustrated.

This product is advertised as preventative care and I hope it does just that. I have been using for a little over two years now, and have discontinued use for short periods of time. When I stop using, my skin looks horrible. I have acne scars in some places, and I believe this product has helped some of them disappear. I also was developing wrinkles at 20, and I believe this product has helped stop and even reduce the appearance of frownlines. Its hard to judge exactly what this product does, but my skin is aweful without it!

I've been using this product for years and won't trade it for any other. Keeps skin fresh and glowing.

This cream goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly and my skin feels smoother. Like some other moisturizers do, it doesn't leave an oily residue on your face. I am generally happy with any Oil of Olay product that I buy, and the Regenerist line is one of my favorites.

Bought this with a $15 rebate, so almost like getting second one for free. We have used these proucts for years and find they work great, and when you get them on sale that makes it even better. Amazon is SUPER!!

I recently bought this product and it's performance is better than most expensive moisturizers I have used. IF you are like me and take advantage of olay's rebate program then my only advice is to buy the product directly from amazon. They always ship in the original packaging which is imperative for getting a UPC code. Other buyers may purchase in bulk and then you are ought of luck because all you get is the jar of cream without the exterior packaging which is what happened to me.

This is the 3rd jar of Olay Regenerist Night Moisturizing cream I have bought, I really like it, works well for normal to dry skin. I would have given it 5 stars but since it has fragrance in it only 4 stars !

Olay's Regenerist night cream is perfect for my dry skin. I love the way my skin just drinks it in. There is no greasy feel and I use it morning and evening, especially in winter.

This book is beautiful to look at. The pages are glossy, the pictures are crisp and the print is easy to read. With a book like this, I would think the author would not dedicate it to her husband "who always makes me feel beautiful," but rather to her favorite vegetable -- which a quick glance at the index appears to be pumpkin! I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to buy this book as a gift. Emphasis is placed on the skin throughout and it is information you can trust, but there are other issues brought into the light of healthy food, such as menopause, cancer and blood vessels. Whatever skin problems you think you have, this book will address them from simple acne to psoriasis, from moles to sun damage, from sagging skin to wrinkles (not a very large jump when you think of it). The truth is that there are many other books on the market where you can find this same information, but none are presented with such a lovely "face." The back part of the book is filled with wonderful recipes. Some are a bit exotic such as the appealing "Brussels Sprouts with Mustard and Spicy Maple Pecans," while others are more simple, like the "Roasted Cauliflower and Peppers." I, personally, would find it hard to put this book on the counter in my kitchen and try to cook from it. I wouldn't want to stain the book, so I'd probably photocopy the recipes and use them that way. This would also be a great book to discover in a smart doctor's office.

I love that books like this that provide info on healthy eating, getting adequate sleep and such are mainstream now. In a society where it's so easy if you just have the money to get a facelight or bariatric surgery is so common place, it's wonderful that there are people out there like Allison Tannis are trying to get the message out there that, YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!!! I'm a Wellness Coach so within the first few seconds of seeing someone, although I obviously can't tell what they eat, I can tell if their body looks 'inflammed' (puffiness), if they aren't getting enough sleep (saggy 'jowels' by their nose and mouth), etc, etc. This book is great if you are starting your journey in researching healthy foods and nourishing your skin from the inside out. For others who have been eating 'healthy' and have been studying for a while, I'd say that this book just may be a bit too basic for your needs since much of the information has been well circulated amongst inner health circles.

If you are looking for a breakthrough, or even just to learn something new, this is probably not the book for you, unless your knowledge of nutrition is beyond minimal. Every single "healthy" food you can probably think of is listed in this book (with the exception of milk, which supposedly might be a cause of acne) and none are really elevated as better than any of the others. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes... remember them, all those foods that have been marketed as healthy for ages? Yeah, well, not only are they healthy overall, but turns out they are also healthy for your skin. Not really much of a shocker. So, unless you didn't know that fruit was good for you, you're unlikely to be surprised by what you read in this book. The only two surprising foods that she mentioned were maple syrup and dark chocolate... and if I had been following health news a little more closely, the chocolate wouldn't have surprised me either. So, why the four stars? Simply because this colourful and crisp encyclopaedia of health foods was so deliciously pleasant to read. There is something ridiculously satisfying about knowing exactly how and why each food you eat is benefiting you. For me, this delightful little book has been a major motivator in my quest to eat better. Somehow, broccoli and Brussels sprouts taste a lot better when you can look them up, as you eat them, with a handy-dandy glossary, and read about exactly how they will strengthen, moisturize, or protect your skin. The book is divided into sections such as "foods that fight wrinkles" and "foods that brighten your complexion" which makes looking foods up even more fun. Additionally, the first couple of chapters provide a quick but useful understanding of skin and its many layers and components. Now, when I eat rhubarb, I think, "I'm tightening up my face with silica, and all that vitamin C is destroying loads of free radicals, and promoting the synthesis of collagen." It's nice to have a reminder as to why eating well is so important, and to know exactly what sort of impact you're having with every single food you eat. This book is essentially a celebration of healthy foods on an individual basis, and it's also an extremely fun, breezy read. So, enjoy!

Even though I am a guy, I still take an interest in skin health because a) my wife is concerned about it, and b) the skin is an important part of the body, and any holistic approach to health is going to involve taking care of the skin. Tannis begins this book with a rationale for why what we eat relates to skin health, followed by some scientific information about the skin, which is mostly review for those of us who remember high school biology. In section two, she explains the causes of skin damage, including the sun and free radical damage. In section three, she explains a study that found that consuming vegetables, olive oil, fish, and beans resulted in healthier skin, whereas eating sugar, margarine, and milk products tended to make skin look older. This section also lists "wrinkle-fighting foods," with an explanation of why a particular food is good for the skin. Section four, about foods that moisturize, is laid out in a similar fashion, as is section five, "Foods that Tighten, Smooth, and Fight Sag." Chapters six through eight address complexion, inflammation, puffiness, acne, and psoriasis, and which foods hypothetically are good for these concerns. The last section contains recipes containing the foods discussed in the earlier chapters. I found this book interesting, and learned a thing or two about the nutritional content of various foods. I learned some new things about what makes skin healthy, and why skin ages the way it does (and why it ages faster in some people). This will be helpful when researching skin health in the future. The book is certainly colorful and engaging, and, most importantly, contains a lot of information based on scientific studies. The recipes look good, but I am horrible at trying recipes from health books, so I haven't tried them. My main problem with the book is that a lot of it seems like filler. I have studied nutrition informally since 1993, and I read news and scientific studies related to health and fitness every day. Unfortunately, a lot of what is in this book is very basic information about various foods, whether or not the information directly relates to skin health. For example, in the section about carrots, Tannis provides a brief history of the vegetable, explains the relationship between Vitamin A and eyesight, and tells us that too much beta-carotene can turn the skin orange. She then speaks of the dangers of Vitamin A overdose, which is not really an issue with carrots, because they contain pro-vitamin A (Beta-Carotene), and since the body only converts what it needs to Vitamin A, it really isn't toxic, but nonetheless, this fact gets mentioned. Interesting? Yes, but most of this does not relate directly to the skin, and can be found elsewhere. Another concern I have is that while a lot of the information is based on direct scientific studies, much is simply hypothetical. For example, just because a food is high in antioxidants and/or Omega-3 fat does not necessarily mean it is good for the skin. Finally, with hundreds of thousands of recipes available online, I am just not that interested in buying a book that is almost one-third recipes. Overall, this book is very informative and easy-to-read, especially for those with very little knowledge of food and nutrition, but for those who are already knowledgeable in these subjects, a lot of the material is redundant and not directly related to skin health.

I received this book as part of Amazon's Vine Program. I am 43 and look quite young for my age, and I am very interested in preserving my skin as I grow older, so I was excited to read this book. It was a disappointment - I didn't learn anything new (just a basic rehashing of standard beauty magazine advice, really) accompanied by a lot of recipes I would either never make or are so basic that I didn't need a recipe. It does provide the basic info that is currently available regarding anti-aging foods, but nothing you couldn't find by leafing through Vogue or any of the "healthy living" magazines.

I don't believe the book was rated correctly by the book seller. The book arrived with many of the pages written on and many others folded for future reference by the previous user(s), none of which were in the condition review. Maybe I am spoiled because I have gotten such excellent products before through Amazon. Didn't pay very much, but I would have been willing to pay more to get a book in better condition if I had known.Barbara

The book is in excellent condition....A little hard to do this diet on your own, buying products on your own except the spices...

"Sadly many of our food choices are directly responsible for wrinkles, degenerative diseases, and accelerated aging." ~ Nicholas Perricone, M.D. "The Perricone Promise" is a great book for anyone who wants to make antiaging a priority in their life. I've been following a lot of the advice in this book and it definitely works. While some of the supplements are pretty expensive ($45 for a bottle of Thymic Peptides - 20 pills - Wellness Thymic Peptide) I'm taking many other antiaging supplements that are reasonably priced. Source Naturals Astaxanthin, 2 mg, Softgels, 120 softgels EFA Gold EPA-18 200 sgels Source Naturals Coenzyme Q10, 200 mg, Softgels, 60 softgels Enzymatic Therapy 7-keto Dhea, 60 Capsules - this is not mentioned in this book. You may want to read: The Metabolic Plan: Stay Younger Longer Kal DMAE 100 mg 100 Tablet Source Naturals Skin Eternal Hyaluronic Acid, 50 mg, Tablets , 120 tablets - this is not mentioned in this book either but it works to make you look younger. By taking the advice in this book you can not only repair the skin but you can also decrease the chance of having cancer. To make this user friendly Nicholas Perricone gives lists of foods you should eat to look ten years younger. He also provides lots of recipes. Some of the recipes include: Mediterranean Turkey Soup Curried Shrimp Lemon Chicken Grilled Indian Chicken Buckwheat Pilaf These recipes are used in the menu section. There are 28 days worth of menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is an emphasis on protein in each meal and even when snacking. Like before bed he recommends you eat a hard-boiled egg. Most of the breakfasts are either eggs, salmon or buckwheat cereal. I like the way the book is organized. It is a fairly fast read considering some of the more complex chapters on supplements. The book begins with recommended foods then it moves on to suggested supplements. The section on topicals is where things get a little expensive. While it is true that Nicholas Perricone promotes his products throughout this book he does it in a way that is helpful not intrusive. Some of the products he sells cost hundreds of dollars but they must work. For me, I just take the advice I can afford. If you are looking for less expensive products that work fairly well I'd recommend anything by Derma E. I've been using Derma E Pycnogenol Eye Gel, .5 oz gel for years and have seen good results. I also like Alpha Lipoderm Alpha Lipoic / Green Tea Advanced Repair Complex - 2 oz. - Cream. If you are really serious about antiaging then you may also want to read: Caffeine Blues: Wake Up to the Hidden Dangers of America's #1 Drug The DHEA Breakthrough The Metabolic Plan: Stay Younger Longer - this book changed my life! After I read it I was so excited about it I sent my copy to a friend. So now I need to buy myself a second copy. ~The Rebecca Review

Very good sections on acupressure, chinese herbal treatments and food. Chinese red dates (da zao) are really good for eliminating hunger, although laxative. Excellent tip found in this book: wash your face with water and some drops of vinegar. Best cleanser for me, as almost any cleanser causes me skin rash or allergy, especially around my eyes. My tip for beauty: deep massage all around your trapezium and platisma (they pull your face down). You will look 10 years younger when they are relaxed as levator muscles in your face will be able to pull your face up.Best way to rejuvenate facial contour without surgery lifting.

I Love this book. Started taking Yu Zhu & Jujube everyday. I have noticed a change and will continue to add chinese herbs to my life. Thanks Ping

This book is way too complicated for a regular person. Some of the items mentioned to either eat or use for an anti-wrinkle treatments (such as pigs feet or different fungi) are things that I would never use. I think the only way you could achieve most of these things is by purchasing her Nefeli cosmetic line, which is not cheap. The accupressure points are also very confusing. I would not have purchased this had I known this.

TCM=Traditional Chinese Medicine and it works! Accupressure really helps my skin glow, amazing. (Just a couple of days of doing the accupressure exercises, I began receiving compliments like, "you're skin has a beautiful texture, what have you been doing?") My qualms with the book? What do you think of using a Pig's Foot Mask on your face? That's right, the book talks of boiling and cutting a pigs foot which, refrigerated, you're supposed to apply to your face over night! Eating Bone Soup is also suggested in this book. Eating meat and/or killing animals just so I can look good just doesn't sound right. Besides, boiled bones to fight wrinkles? Staying away from meat is best. Meat has fats and these days hormones and chemicals that are bad for the skin, let alone everything else in the body. Insted, eat fruits and vegetables (drink lots of water too) and make your skin look gorgeous.

I've probably read anti-aging books , and "Anti-Aging Therapy: How to Clear Away the Wrinkles & Rejuvenate Your Face by Ping Zhang"is undoubtedly the most effective and authentic one yet. Everyone who values their body and personal well being should read this book. Just read this book and truly help yourself.
